“By early 2008, we had decided our family was quickly outgrowing are house. We seriously looked at making an addition, but eventually decided upon selling the house and looking for a larger home. We had meaningful issues to deal with however. After discussions with Lisa Goodrich, we decided to proceed with a search and sale. Below is a brief recapitulation of the successes we achieved with Lisa’s advisory, facilitation and execution. In finding a buyer, I believe Lisa truly has the pulse of the market. In booming times, it frankly only requires having an open house, and the house largely sells itself. In 2008, we had deep concerns over our ability to find a buyer, especially since we had successfully bid on a new house. Lisa had identified potential buyers on a one-on-one basis ahead of our scheduled open house. When we had our official open house, we already had a bid on the house. Lisa was very effective in creating momentum behind our house despite a challenging environment. Secondly, Lisa is very skilled at bidding tactics. We spent a good portion of three weeks negotiating our bid on the new house. In that process, we utilized a number of approaches to negotiate an attractive price. In the end, we were successful in negotiating a nearly 30% reduction from the original ask. This has proven to be essential as we were able to refinance a year later and take advantage of lower interest rates with no loss in home value. Lisa’s advice through this process was critical to our success. Last, when it came to execution, Lisa was there every step of the way from assisting with inspections, architects… Lisa was incredibly responsive during the entire process; we found it very comforting especially given the emotional and stressful nature of purchasing and selling a home. I hope the brief comments above provide some insight into Lisa’s capabilities, effectiveness and resources. Her expertise runs much more deeply than what we could express.
